I have never been a real fan of dessert, which explains why most of my food post are more focused on main course or eateries. Even when the blogosphere is filled with dessert craze a couple of years back, to me it’s one of last kind of food that I wanted to taste. So when May wanted to give this My Honeymoon a try a couple of weeks back, I was a bit hesitated, but decided to go ahead since she’s bringing her parents as well.
I guess the dessert craze is definitely over, because we were greeted to an almost deserted shop and there’s no air condition as well. Here’s Kayden giving a hand in ordering the desserts. We quickly ordered some of the well known ones and wait patiently for the items to come.
Coffee Pudding (RM6), which Kayden likes a lot.
Coconut RedBean Pudding (RM6)
May ordered the Mango Cream Sago Maruko (RM12) which consist of lots of mangoes, sago and some chewable balls like the normal glutinous rice ball. Pretty refreshing although I find the mangoes lack the mango taste.
I ordered the Mango Special Maruko Drink (RM9) which is almost similar to the one earlier, just that it’s in a glass rather than a bowl. Again it’s refreshing but lack the punch due to the mangoes.
Last but not least, Durian PanCake (RM9) which I think is the best dessert for the entire night. Like the durian taste along with cream, and the crepe layer is soft and delicious.
Overall, I would say it’s a nice place to go if you’re craving for something different but being a Saturday night and the amount of customers in this particular outlet, I’m just wondering the sustainability of the business in the long run. Will I be dropping by again, probably not mainly I’m not a dessert-y person. However, the Durian PanCake is definitely worth a try.
