Over the past few weeks, have been baking a lot of stuff at home and it seemed like a good thing to enjoy. The first baking I did was Ciabatta, but that turn out to be like a rock! So moving ahead, I tried baking a Banana Bread base on foodwishes.com which is a pretty good website for cooking (and with video tutorial too!)
The recipe is pretty simple in its own way and it’s almost a fool-proof recipe.
The first thing to do is mashed up 3 normal size bananas with a potato masher. What you want is to make sure it’s almost in puree form.
As for the dry ingredients, it will be 2 cups of all purpose flour, a teaspoon of salt, baking powder and baking soda and whisk it all together.
In another bowl, mix half a cup of soft butter with a cup of sugar using a spatula until it’s mix evenly.
Right after that, add in back the banana puree and stir it with the whisk until it’s even. Add in 2 eggs (one at at time), again whisking it evenly before adding in another 1 tablespoon of milk.
Next, add in the dry mixture and begin to mix it until you get something like this…
All the ingredients are gelled up and you’re ready to go!
Pour the mixture onto a lightly oil baking tray and off to a pre heated oven for 160 C for about 60 to 70 minutes.
Take it off from the oven and using a bamboo stick to stick it into the bread, as long as there’s no stickiness then it’s good to eat!
Pretty easy recipe and you can also add in chocolate chip and walnut to enhance the flavour. Since I can’t eat one of those, I opted it out. You can get more info at foodwishes if you want to watch a video of how to make it. Till then…have fun!

Success for 1st attempt, well done!

Yup, but mainly because it’s a pretty easy recipe.
