Japanese, Lunch

Marufuku @ Jaya One

May 29, 2011

Sometime last week, I was having a training at Jaya One. Was supposed to meet up May for lunch, but somehow she got caught in a conference call so we ended up having to eat on our own. Feeling the need to eat some mee, I ended up here.

Marufuku, one of the many eateries in Jaya One.

The setup is pretty simple, and patrons are required to order their own selection.

After choosing from the menu, what you need to do is just key in your selection on the machine and the order will be printed out. And then, head over to the cashier to make payment.

However, this DIY could also be a hinder because when I was having my bowl of udon, I noticed some patrons just walk away after hearing that you have to order themselves via the machine.

Anyway, back to my lunch…I selected the House Special Udon which cost RM6.

A very simple bowl of udon, with special fish sauce and egg. It does have some similarities with Kin Kin Pan Mee.

Even the chili provided looks almost the same.

My favourite way of eating it, mix it all up together with the chillies. For RM6, I think it’s pretty good for a bowl of Udon. I wouldn’t mind coming back again to try their Takoyaki and Curry Udon.
