Pork Noodles @ Sun Seng Restaurant

April 14, 2011

I’ve been working at my new place for over 6 months and one of my most frequent lunch spot is just a coffee shop a few units away.

There’s nothing fancy about the coffee shop, there’s only 3 stalls that operates in the morning. One selling Curry Laksa & Fish Ball Soup, one selling Chicken Rice and the last one selling Pork Noodles.

Aside from Pork Noodles, they do have Pan Mee, Yee Mee and Fish Head Noodles (on Sundays) too.  It’s normally the stall that I would order from. As I need to drop by last Saturday for a bit of work, I brought May and Kayden for breakfast here.

Here’s Kayden, already sweating after 5 minutes sitting in the coffee shop.

Yee Mee Soup with Pork! I find that the soup is very tasty and most of the meat are very well marinated. Also included are pork balls (the round and square type), pork minced, liver and intestines (depending on preference).

I would normally avoid the innards because of my gout, just that on this particular day, I’ve forgotten to request it to be removed.

Kayden busy feeding himself.

A bowl of this cost around RM4-5 (depending on size and with egg or not) which is pretty standard. Always a welcoming dish when I’m out of idea what to eat during lunch around my office.

This is also my favourite place to get my fix of Cham Ice!
