This day 2 years back, we were traditionally married (because we already registered on 080808) in front of our family and friends and sang on our way into the banquet hall.
I hope the song entertain them because we’ve only started to practice the song 3 days before the actual day.
Fast forward today and a baby later, we are already celebrating our 2nd anniversary together and I’ve actually asked May out for a date for a simple dinner here.
Trattoria Tanzini located on the 28th Floor at G Tower. It’s a new place and a few bloggers have already blog about this place before where it boast an excellent view overlooking the city, so we decided to give it a try.
We were seated right next to a window and the back of me is a direct view of KLCC. The setup is very contemporary and provide a very nice ambience.
We started off with ordering their “All The Small Things” Antipasti (RM50) which consist of 3 different kind of appetizer.
Do take note that their antipasti varies from day to day, the ones that we had today were Beef like the one shown above.
Duck Meat with Ebikko and,
Salmon with Olives and Caviar.
Seeing that the serving portion might be small, we ordered the Parmigiana Eggplant (RM18) to complement our meaty main course. Consisting of layers of grilled eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes with fresh mozzarella cheese, it’s a nice way to get started. All the grilled vegetables are sweet and tasty and is grilled perfectly.
Grilled Jade Perched Fish Fillet (RM38) consisting of the grilled crunchiness of the skin, alongside a portion of capers, cherry tomatoes, mini potatoes and asparagus. The fish is nice, however I find that the skin is a bit chewy. Would be nice if it’s not as chewy.
May ordered the Agnello Milanese (RM46), which is lamb cutlets that’s being grilled with olives, eggplant and sun dried tomatoes. The texture is very nice and grilled to perfection. It goes very well on its own or along with the sauce that’s being provided, but May said that it’s better without the sauce, so you can decide for yourself on that.
After a fulfilling main course, we ordered desserts and May ordered Affogato (RM20), which basically means Coffee with Vanilla Ice Cream. That’s just my version of explaining it, it’s actually vanilla gelato being served with a hot cup of espresso and biscotti, the server will normally pour the hot espresso when serving the Affogato. Nice and bitter.
The Exotic Cheese Cake (RM16) is chef’s recommendation and I can tell you why. The cheese cake is one of the nicest cheese cake that I have ever tasted. The mascarpone cream is so smooth and creamy and goes so well with a layer of bread crust and jello. There’s also mango coulis which tasted just as good.
After dessert, we head out to enjoy the beautiful night line of KL and managed to snap a photo. It was definitely an anniversary that we will remember for a long long time.
