Our Baby, Pa-sonaru

A Close Encounter with H1N1

May 8, 2010

A few days ago, someone in the office got suspected for H1N1. Suspected meaning that there’s a possibility that the H1N1 test can come back as Positive or Negative. So some of the us in the office got kind of worried, because if the result is positive, meaning that most of us have to be quarantine.

So I was thinking to myself, if the result is positive, I might need to stay away from my house because Kayden could be infected. The thought of that actually send chills down my spine.

Anyhow, luckily the result came out as normal so that I don’t need to quarantine myself away from Kayden.

So while Kayden was doing his Pneumococcal and Rotavirus shots today, both me and May decided to do this.

Yup, H1N1 Flu Vaccine at RM80 just to be safe.

Kayden still looking blur while we are at the clinic. He’s supposed to be getting his shots too. At 4 months he’s weighing at 7.3kg and 68cm long.

Back to our H1N1 shots, it’s a fairly painless procedure and will normally take 3 weeks for our body to fully immunized from the virus. There are some side effects though, including but not limited to, joint aches, muscle pains, headaches and fever. There’s also 1 in a 100,000 chance that the person might be paralyze.

It’s more than 6 hours since our shots and both of us are still feeling ok. So wish us well.

Will be celebrating Mother’s day this weekend at Marche and at home. My EOS 40D have some weird error but I’m hoping that I can still take some nice pictures over this long weekend. Yup, Monday is an off day for me too just to relax at home.

So Kayden, Happy 4th Month Old!

the side effect will only be for 1-2 days. so it’s still a long time to heal before you going to UK lar.
