It seemed like yesterday when I first ate at this place. I have just joined Amex back then and this is the place that our trainer brought us, newbies for lunch on the 1st day. And after that, the rest is history.
The stall is located at Lorong Ceylon, opposite Menara PMI. Their specialty is Malay style Grilled Fish.
I still remember back then when I was working on shift and don’t have a proper lunch hour, I will head over here for lunch because it’s Malay food with lots of variety. I still can’t find a better stall yet that sells good Malay rice.
It’s been almost a year that I visited this place, mainly because my Lunch Gang don’t like hot places and they don’t like Malay food. Despite their specialty are Ikan Bakar, I normally take chicken instead. Here’s my plate with Fried Chicken and Fried Paku Pakis (Fern), with lots of gravy!
May ordered 2 veges with tofu because she wants to eat the Ikan Bakar.
Grilled Stingray. Taste good as always.
I’m surprised that the Makcik there still remembers me, I think mainly because I frequent them too often back during my Auths days. The whole lunch only cost us about RM15 with drinks, pretty standard considering how big the fish was.
Finally a picture of May with food on my blog after a 3 months break!
We were there slightly after lunch time so most of the dishes were almost finished, but at least there’s some Grilled fish left. Eating here sure brings back memories like, packing lunch back to the Weld, discussed and got my insurance plan here from a friend, and not to forget packing it and ate the rice in the card with May. Haha.
So to those of you working nearby, cherished what you have, because you won’t be able to do so if you’ve move on!
