Humour, Pa-sonaru

Neway, Times Square for Chin Chin’s Birthday

October 18, 2009

May actually commented that my blog lacks humour. Hmm, time to redefine what I am writing. Will need some time to ponder on how to make it more humorous. (Note to self)

Anyways, was celebrating Chin Chin’s birthday last Friday at Neway Karaoke at Berjaya Times Square. The traffic jam around KL is getting more and more serious, I left my office about 5PM and only reached BTS about 550PM, and the distance from my office to BTS is less than 2km. I thought I can spend good 2 hours hanging out at Starbucks but that didn’t materialise.

The whole gang only arrive about 7 plus. Neway charges are RM44++ per person on a Friday night, which includes buffet dinner. I always thought that Neway have a nicer buffet spread compare to Green/Red Box, but I have to say that the quality have dropped compare the first time I went.

Then again, the main thing to going to a karaoke place is to sing, eat is actually secondary. So after munching our food (which I didn’t bother to post out), we started to sing.

Mr Chow aka ‘Song King’ never fails to entertain us with his Hacken Lee or Jacky Cheung songs. Not to mention he’s an Idol finalist too. (Amex Idol that is!)

Really looking like a professional singer.

Some of them singing some weird songs, but looked very happy able to sing it!

The only good thing with Neway is, if your birthday falls on that particular month, the birthday girl/boy will get to have a cake and sparkling juice (provided you booked early) so we are pretty much covered. A picture of the Amex gang before the cutting the cake.

Another one with me in it.

The cake was pretty decent, although I vaguely remember how it taste like, I think must be chocolate.

Shireen and Chin Chin, both October babies. One beginning of the month, the other month end.

The guys with the birthday girl.

Right after that, we continue singing. I forgotten what song they were singing but I guess everyone was a bit tipsy drinking Kampai that they started standing on the seat and sing. Like what they did here.

It’s great being able to sing song once in a while, not to mention meeting old friends.

So Chin Chin, once again Have a Happy Birthday, glad that you enjoyed the session. Will share the rest of the photos with you guys later.
