JD Cooks ~ Cantonese Fried Yin Yeong

As promised, from time to time, I will post something that I cooked in my kitchen and hopefully for those of you who are reading this, at least if you want to try it then you can do it. Especially to some of my friends who er, dunno how to cook?

I was actually rummaging my picture folders and this is the first one that I found, so this will be the 1st dish lar ok?

The things that you need to prepare will be,

Vermicelli (or Mihun), Rice Noodle (or Kway Teow), any green veges that you like plus meat of your choice.

The 1st process will be to fry the rice noodle with a little bit of oil and dark soya sauce, so that it will get the looks. Next would be frying the vermicelli so that it will get crunchy. The end result will be something like this.

Next would be the gravy. Firstly seared up the meat with garlic. Then add in some water so that it will be something like this.

Of course, you will need to add in some chicken stock so that it will be tastier.

The thing with Cantonese Fried is you can add in all sorts of things that you like. For example, the above that I use is fish paste, but you can also add things like prawn (which then it became Sang Har Mee) or anything you can think of.

After simmering for a while, then you can add in corn flour (so that the gravy will thicken) and then if you like an egg. The end result, is something like this.
