Nasi Lemak, Pa-sonaru

Wedding Anniversary @ Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa, Ampang Park

August 14, 2009

The 8th of August was supposed to be our 1st year anniversary as a married couple. But this year, instead of spending time with May, I was spending time with a bunch of graduating people. Like here…

I spent Friday to Sunday at this Dewan San Choon Hall in Wisma MCA taking graduates’ name. What a productive thing to do during my ‘Staycation’ right?

So during my 1st year anniversary, I ate Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa at Ampang Park. Who do eat with? Well of course it’s only me, moir and myself only (because I am working mah!)

The crowd is not that many on a Saturday lunch time. I first ate this nasi lemak when I started working night shift and that is the only time. I can still remember how tasty it is. I know it is somewhere in Kampung Baru, but I don’t really know where is the shop. So when I was passing by a few months back and saw this outlet, I told myself that I should give it a try again if I got a chance.

So here I am, sitting alone in the shop, ordered myself a Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam with Paru that comes with Ice Lemon Tea.

The taste is quite standard.

And here is the main meal. A piece of rendang chicken, a few slices of fried paru (chicken’s lung), sambal, egg and cucumber. The price set is RM9.90, I would say it’s more like a commercialise pricing because you can easily get this selection with less than RM5 on any roadside nasi lemak stall.

Taste-wise, it doesn’t fail at all. The sambal is not too spicy and it’s sweet (my kind of sambal), and the paru is taste something like KFC. Rendang chicken is normal.

So if you are like me, celebrating 1st year anniversary on your own and you don’t know how to get to Kg Baru, then this is your next best alternative.

I think the franchise slack a bit. The original place I tasted quite a while back is quite good, but I never knew where is the place though.
