Bak Kut Teh in Klang for the 3rd time

February 23, 2009

For the past 2-3 months, I have visited Klang thrice to eat the famous ‘Bak Kut Teh’. And just yesterday, I woke up at 630am just to make sure that we arrived at this shop called ‘Bo Liao’ Bak Kut Teh. Ok, ‘Bo Liao’ is just a nickname for this shop, reason being that when my parents visited them a couple of weeks back, arriving at their shop slightly over 8am, they already said their bak kut teh ‘bo liao’. So that’s how they address the shop from that day onwards.

IMAGE_227 Here are some pictures, apologize for the quality as I forgot to bring my memory card for my Powershot, hence need to take it with my handphone.

As you can see, most of the bowls consist of just 1 piece of meat, but quite big in a way. The taste, quite ok lar but still not too much to my liking. The worse part of this restaurant is you as a customer is not a king. You don’t get to choose which part of the piggy you want, they will just give whatever things if left for the day. However, they have a special pot where they keep those meat, not too sure if it’s for VVIP.

The price is cheap when you compare to those shops in PJ or KL. Just RM36.50 for 5 of us. But considering they petrol and toll, it’s almost equivalent.

We reached home just over 9am and on a Sunday morning where we should be pigging on the bed, we decided to head down to LYP. The thing here is, incentive is out, and I have been thinking of switching my laptop. Not because incentive is good, but I have a feeling that my laptop is going to die on me soon. Remember the incident last year where the HDD failed? And then it got attack by virus? The laptop have come a long way. 4.5 years to be exact. So I guess with all brands, it won’t last for another 4.5 years, cause if they do, then all the major brands have to tutup kedai.

The dilemma is this, I want to get a Mac but I think it’s too dear. I also want to get a desktop but I think my room can’t fit it in. So that only leave me 1 choice that is to get another laptop. But I am still hesitating it because I want to get a mediocre laptop for a little big of gaming and photo-editing, so the lower ranges will be out of the picture, that left me with those within the region of 2.8k-3.5k. But that’s almost equivalent to a high end desktop already. So now do you know the dilemma? I was about to get the HP Pavillion Slim line, only for May to talk me out of it.

So what do you think? Should I just a laptop then?
