Tonchan Japanese Restaurant @ Wisma Cosway
Continuing my craving for Ramen the week before last, I met up with Lin for lunch at this place called Tonchan, located in Wisma Cosway as recommended in KY’s blog. Located in the very secluded area of Wisma Cosway, it’s one of the best place for Japanese Chashu. Lunch time on a Friday, not a lot of patrons that day with a few empty tables available. We were seated by the window, hence there’s a nice view of the Pavilion surrounding. A brief look in the menu comprises of a number of ramen and lunch sets. I quickly settled for something more familiar, Chashu Ramen. Chashu Ramen (RM18) served with 5 pieces of Chashu (pork belly) with egg and a slice of fish cake. I would say that the ramen in pretty standard, the Chashu on the other hand is damn good! The fat portion of the meat literally melts in my mouth and is as sinful as it looks so be sure to take lots of ocha after the meal.
