With a blink of an eye, it’s been 5 years since of ROM and when I asked May does it felt that long, she said no, it still feel like yesterday. We have planned for a get together with my friends on the actual day so we decided to have our anniversary dinner a day early, without the 2 boys. Since we have to get some ingredients are BIG, we decided to have our dinner there.
Silver Spoon Publika, tastefully decorated with some spoons as lighting deco, and various wine rack around the place. Not a big fancy restaurant, and just nice for some small gathering or candlelight dinner.
Cucumber Juice (RM12) and Ginger Tea (RM13), both are pretty refreshing.
Roasted Pumpkin Soup (RM10) is a good starter, oven roasted pumpkin puree blended in vegetable stock. It might be slightly salty for some but I find it just nice, and a nice start for dinner.
Linguine Alfredo (RM26), a creamy pasta cooked with turkey toast, grilled Portobello mushroom and poached egg. The crème is not too overwhelming and just alright, the poached egg and grilled Portobello mushroom is just perfect topping.
There’s lots more selection of pasta too, but the Alfredo Linguine is good for a creamy pasta lover like me.
Salmon Teriyaki Pizza (RM30) is special in it’s own way, with bamboo charcoal pizza base with cream cheese sauce, topped with teriyaki salmon, wasabi sauce, onion and rocket salad.
Each slices have a piece of salmon which is just great, while the bamboo charcoal base and wasabi sauce added a new dimension to the pizza’s taste. It’s quite a new experience tasting something Italian fusing with Japanese ingredients. Do take note though that the pizza is equivalent to a large pizza, hence in order to make room for dessert, we have no choice but to pack some home.
Silver Spoon’s Signature Tiramisu (RM15), was overall a great dessert and I can’t remember when was the last time I tasted such delicious dessert. Kahlua coffee liqueur and cognac infused mascarpone cheese with espresso and sponge finger, great after a great meal to be share with your loved ones.
Not the best photo but it’s the only one. Dinner was great despite quite a number of reviews that mentioned that the food was on the salty side, I’m ok with it. Price wise, it’s affordable and most of the dishes are averagely price and not too expensive and I wouldn’t mind dropping by to try their Lamb Shank and Crème Brulee.
Happy 5th Anniversary to me and May!
