It’s been a busy 3 months for 2012 with my procedure and jobs and everything, but then again that’s just a lame excuse I’m giving to myself and hopefully this post will kick start 2013. Earlier last month, we went for our first family trip (on a plane) to Langkawi that we have booked in March last year. As the days got nearer, I’m frantically looking for a place to stay because being the 1st weekend after school reopen, most hotels in Langkawi were all still fully booked.
Both me and May have decided to splurge on accommodation this time around, so we wanted to stay at resorts that have private beach and comfy, we wanted to stay at Holiday Villa but it’s fully booked so we ended up booking a place called Frangipani and never regretted staying there. Located at Pantai Tengah, we welcome the tranquility of the resort with guests mainly foreigners and a nice strip of beach just a walk away from our room, and Kayden is the happiest.
Both the boys enjoying the pool. Both of them like to swim a lot and Kayden especially will just go in and out of the swimming pool whenever he likes with the arm floats on.
The sandy beach is just nice to build sand castles, and here’s Kayden and Kendric busy digging out sands.
Some attempt on making the castles.
Playing with sands until the sun sets.
Washing off the sands away at the pool, thanks to us, the swimming pool just got sandier.
First night was quite uneventful although we drove all the way to Kuah town for dinner, but ate at some Mamak stall that sells awful food. It’s all my fault as I never did any research for good food in Langkawi this time around, still managed to get some chocolates at some duty free shops.
On the 2nd day, we went to the new Underwater World, which is only a 5 minutes drive from our hotel but the kids don’t seem to be interested although there’s penguins, seals and many more.
Kendric was asleep the whole time so there’s only a few photos that we took inside the Underwater World.
Lunch at Red Tomato, a decent place that serve a variety of pastas, pizzas and sandwiches and not to be mistaken with Nasi Tomato along the same stretch of road.
Pizza Margherita with Chicken and Mushroom (RM24.50) and Spaghetti Bolognaise (RM24.50).
Kendric feeding himself on his lunch.
Kayden and the pizza.
Back to the beach after a nap, well that’s what we always wanted to do…no sight seeing, just lazing around by the beach.
We’ve got 2 beach boys!
On the 3rd day, we stayed in the whole day, sitting by the pool side while Kendric gets his morning nap and Kayden playing in the pool.
Truly the best holiday when you get to lay on the beach chair and enjoyed the sun and sea breeze.
Lunch by the pool side, not the cheapest but the most convenient if you are spending the day by the pool.
Cool looking Kendric, took a while to get him to wear it and not removing it.
Sweating by the beach, both of them grew darker after spending few days by the sun.
It’s a great trip and Kayden is already asking when will be heading to Langkawi again, we have to let him know we’re planning one soon but I guess you can’t separate and beach boy with his beach. Hmm…maybe Cherating next?
