Yamagoya Ramen, hails all the way from Kyushu is located at Solaris and is another place that it’s specialty is Ramen. I’ve always like Goku Raku Ramen in MidValley so when ramen comes to mind, it’s sort of like a bench mark for other ramen places.
The place is not big, with ample tables to fill a dinner crowd plus a small room at the entrance displaying how the ramen was made.
Chilling out while waiting for the ramen to come.
Black Garlic Oily Ramen, a special blend soup consisting garlic and a delicious pork broth, furnished with 2 pieces of Char Siu. The soup taste is not as intense as the ones from Goku Raku but overall it’s very special in it’s own way. However, we do feel thirsty after our meal there so we were just wandering if the soup is laden with MSG?
Mukashi Special Ramen, soup is lighter in colour, with Char Siu and hard boiled egg. The broth is milder compare to the Garlic soup that I had but again it’s not as intense.
Char Siu Ramen, almost the same as the Mukashi, minus the seaweed and egg.
Gyoza, nice appetizer and snack to go with the ramen, which I though the portion was a bit small given the price that we pay.
Fried Chicken, is another nice snack to have as the marinated chicken is tender and crunchy, where one plate might not be enough.
It’s a decent dinner place although portions might be small for big eaters, and pricier but as it claims to the the 1st original Kyushu ramen in Malaysia, that definitely warrants a first visit. I wouldn’t mind dropping by again if I’m around Publika and fancy a bowl of ramen.
