This post is exactly 2 months late but better late than never right? Read all about the exciting Nagomi Shabu Shabu from KampungBoyCityGal quite a while ago and since I’m running out of dinner places to go, decided to celebrate my dad’s birthday here.
The traffic jam around the area is quite terrible, so it’s a good place to drop by if you’re stuck in one and in the mean time have a good comfort food before heading home.
I was a tad early so I decided to meet up with lunch gang for drinks while waiting for the gang to arrive, because on that day, it’s super jam in KL.
I don’t drink much nowadays due to my gout condition but it’s difficult to resist a good pint of Stella Artois, one of my favourite beer hail all the way from Belgium. The rest of the lunch gang just ordered cranberry juice, how boring!
For snacks, we ordered some roasted pork and it was pretty alright. Brussels is available at quite a number of places and it’s definitely a good place for Belgian beer, not so much on the food though because just the week before CNY, I was there again but all the food was super salty, must have been a change of cooks.
Not going to far from the main intention of this post, Nagomi Shabu Shabu have been around for a good few years, specializing in Japanese steamboat and to usher the new year, they started running a Steamboat Buffet promotion during weekday dinners and lunch and dinner during weekends and public holiday for RM32.80++, which is quite a good deal if you ask me.
There’s a huge selection of shellfish and if you’re a shellfish lover, it’s worth every penny! Ranging from the normal prawn to Mantis prawn, as well as mussels, oysters and extra huge bamboo shoots, it’s a shellfish lover heaven!
A visual representation of how huge the bamboo shoots were!
Unfortunately for someone like me who can’t take any shellfish, I’m resorted to choosing from this kind of ranges, the normal steamboat stuffs.
Fried stuffs that I can eat a little.
Assorted sushi are available, life saver for me!
May and Jasmin over the buffet spread.
One of the most exciting thing here was the unlimited serving of Salmon Sashimi from 8PM to 9PM, despite not huge in sizes but definitely make the money you pay worthwhile. However, aside from Salmon, you can always request for lamb, beef, duck or chicken meat from the chef behind the sushi bar since it also comes free flow style.
Mushroom and vegetables galore to fulfill your green quotas.
A photo of Kayden and my parents before cutting the cake.
It was a great dinner with most of us full to the brim! And for the price, it’s definitely worth it if you’re a fan of crustacean or sashimi. The promotion is still ongoing so head over there for your next dinner date, you won’t regret it!
