Pavilion had gone through a few changes a few months back, especially with the reopen Tokyo Street and a few other restaurants that replaced the old ones. One of those that were gone were The C Club, I guess no one wants to eat in a place where you sell diamonds. The one that took over the shoplot was Ben’s.
A Friday many weeks back, I met up with May for lunch and we decided to give this place a try but since it’s lunch time, we have to wait for a good 10 minutes before getting a seat.
This was how packed the place was during lunch hour.Well, always a good indication that the food should be good.
The deco is pretty interesting too, does look like we are out in some restaurant by the sea side off Santa Monica?
May all eager for the food.
The fusion menu provided a good selection for all, from Asian to Mains to Pies and Nibbles, there’s got to be something that tickles your fancy.
By the side of the table, there’s also this quirky cards ranges from recipes to table topic, if you find yourself don’t know what to talk about to the friend/acquaintance that you’re dining with.
Some good topics to talk about. Notice the small light bulb in the middle of the card, the place is an association with Plan B in Bangsar!
The Caramel Milkshake (RM9.90) and the Oreo Smoothie (RM11.90) taste awesome!
Being a sucker for sandwiches, I ordered the Fisherman Catch (RM21.90), consist of a humongous piece of fillet, accompanying with fries and salad. The fillet is perfectly fried, breaded with crumbs and the fish is very fresh! The side salad is refreshing too.
May had this thing with quiche (something that we ate quite often when we were in Newcastle), so she quickly ordered the Quiche Lorraine (RM15.90) from the menu. Nice layer of bacons, eggs, mushroom, onions all baked together like a pie. Tasted not bad too!
Ben’s definitely a good place to dine, the smoothies and milk shakes are really good and I wouldn’t mind dropping by just to have that. So if you are in Pavilion and tired of Food Republic, do give this place a try!
