One of my favourite food court in town has got to be Lot 10 Hutong. Being a one stop food court that serves Klang Valley’s best hawker stall, the selection here varies from Hokkien Mee to Wan Tan Mee. I have previously blog about it here.
I’ve tried most of the notable ones except for the Mou San Kor Bak Kut Teh and decided to give it a try when I was there for lunch sometime last month.
It’s not difficult to spot the stall as it’s right beside Ducking and have a very well lit signboard. On their logo, it’s indicated that they have been established since 1972, but I’m not really sure where is it’s origin, maybe Klang?
There are numerous set to choose from, and I chose the most appropriate, which is Set A (which is for 1 person). Price wise it’s RM15.20 plus drink, reasonable price given the amount of meat that were given to me.
Half fat + lean or in other words, Pun Fei Sou. Layer of fats accompanying with meat, a great selection indeed. Patrons can also choose different parts as well according to own liking. Despite in a small bowl, the portion is just nice for 1 person. The soup is very tasty with lots of herbs in it and is a bit oily compare to the ones like Pao Xiang.
The rice here is oily rice with roasted shallots, something that cannot be missed when eating Bak Kut Teh.
Overall, I find Mou San Kor Bak Kut Teh quite different from other places that I have eaten before and certainly have a distinctive flavour of its own. I certainly don’t mind dropping by someday again to have it for lunch!
