May’s craving for BKT last weekend, and since my parents were away for wedding dinner, we opted to eat out before going to Robinsons to get Kayden a water tumbler.
There’s this BKT place that I always wanted to try after reading from Vkeong’s Real KungFu Authentic Klang BKT, but sadly 6 months after his review, the shop is no longer there and being changed to Wing Hiong Bak Kut Teh.
There’s just too many BKT franchises coming up so it’s pretty hard to catch up and this particular one have got a few branches around Klang Valley. The BKT serves in Wing Hiong is the standard claypot, where everything are mix in together. They do serve the dry version as well which we didn’t order.
Kayden busy playing with the teacup, one of the newest skill he learnt is drinking from the cup.
Claypot Bak Kut Teh. The price is RM14/pax and within minutes it’s served. The portion looked a bit small for 2 person but still it’s very filling for the 3 of us.
A closer look, consist of Pork Belly, Stomach, Ribs, button mushrooms and generous portions of Tau Fo Pok. The soup is good, not too salty and just the right taste and refills are available upon request.
Fresh lettuce to accompany the porky goodness.
From what I saw on the menu, they do have extra dishes like Pork Tendon, Steamed White Tofu and Lala, making the place a good place to have a decent Chinese meal as well.
At the time of writing, the place is only open for less than a month, so hopefully they will be able to survive longer compare to the Real KungFu Bak Kut The. As for me, I wouldn’t mind dropping by sometime again for dinner when May craves for BKT.
