Kura Japanese Restaurant @ One World Hotel

I think Kura Japanese Restaurant needs no introduction.

It’s been there ever since One World Hotel open its door and can be consider one of the nicer Japanese restaurant around Klang Valley.

I have been here twice before this visit and I can recalled that their sashimi is always fresh. The last time we went, it’s also because May’s boss decided to treat her for a meal, so we get to order the famous Tuna Belly…one of those rare and pricy sashimi on the menu. Due to work this coming weekend, we have to celebrate Father’s Day a week earlier as well, same like last year at Xenri’s.

Most of us ordered from their wide range of Set Lunches and each set comes with a bowl of salad. Fresh vegetables with ebikko and crab stick salad sauce.

Raw squid with miso bean. Not to sure what it’s called.

Chirashi Don, all the sashimi goodness in a bowl!

I ordered the Sashimi and Fish Set, comes with 6 slices of fresh Sake.

And a piece of grilled Salmon Terayaki. The set also comes with Chawamushi and Miso Soup.

IMG_9192

Japanese Garlic Fried Rice, one of the more common fried rice you can find in a Japanese restaurant.

May ordered a bowl of Beef Udon, since she can’t eat a lot nowadays. Generous portion of beef and some small mushroom.

Kayden busy feeding himself udon. He like rice and mee a lot.

Unagi from one of the set that we ordered. Nicely done with not much small bones in it. It’s also perfectly grilled as well.

IMG_9199

The Nagiri Sushi, also comes with on of the sets. Slices of sashimi that covers the rice entirely, unlike a lot of other places where you can still see the rice.

IMG_9202

A plate of cold soba, with a bowl that contains a raw quail egg. Not something common that I saw, but my uncle do knows his Japanese meals better than any of us.

Kayden being cheeky the whole time.

I would say Kura is a nice place to have lunch and the prices are quite reasonable to ranging from RM35~RM80. Set dinner prices are slightly higher. Their food is fresh and the ambience is suitable for a get together, I won’t mind coming again coz I can still remember how tasty the Tuna Belly was.
