Me, Macro and I

April 7, 2011

For the past week or so, I am looking at this particular lens.

The Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM Auto Focus Lens. The price tag is RM1850 which is quite reasonable compare to some of the other lens. Aside from taking Macro, this is also a good Portrait lens as well. Still trying to save up some dough before able to own one.

So while waiting for the dough to get bigger, I’ve borrowed a Tamron SP 90mm just to test out how does a Macro lens work.

This particular lens is a bit cheaper however, the barrel will be extended when focusing, while it’s ok for still products, but for insects, it might pose a problem.

This is one the Figma that I got recently, and you can see that I can actually take a pretty close up photo of it. Apologize as I’m still getting the hang of a Macro lens.

It’s fun playing around with macro, and I think it will be a good tool for food as well. Haven’t really tested it out yet but will try it out later. Hmm…money, Y U NO GROW ON TREE?
