I have always wanted to learn Japanese. The problem is, I’m not sure how do I get started. If it’s as easy as learning Chinese/Mandarin. I have never attended Chinese school my entire life, how I picked up the language is purely by listening to songs back when I’m in Standard 6. All the Jacky Cheung, Vivian Chow and more during those days helped me a lot in learning the words. There’s how I started to pick up my Mandarin as well. There’s no books, no anything, just lyrics. And now I’m contemplating on learning a new language, wish me luck.
Speaking of Japanese, check out Dannychoo.com’s Culture Japan. If you don’t know, Danny Choo is the son of the shoemaker Jimmy Choo and I have to admire him for what he has done for his love of the Japanese culture, from knowing nothing to being able to work and live in Japan. Something that I can definitely learn in my quest to learn Japanese.
Related to Japan, I’ve recently acquired myself a Sony PSP albeit the new NGP (Next Generation Portable) is launching end of this year. It’s something that I always wanted to get, but kept it at the back of my mind with numerous reasons not getting it. I’ve even borrowed friend’s PSP before just to play Final Fantasy VII : Crisis Core a few years back.
After selling of my Wii, I exchanged it for a Pearl White PSP3006 and am currently playing Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3. Boys will be boys!
Speaking of Persona 3, my workstation in the office is a bit bland, so I decided to decorate it with some Figma.
Figma by Max Factory are figurines that is ultra-posable. Meaning the joints imitates that of a person and you can pose it in various ways.
And normally the figurines will be base on famous Anime or games, like this one is from the game Persona 3. Still haven’t got the chance to play with it yet, updates to follow.
