Levain Boulangerie and Patisserie is located at Jalan Delima, a street that house quite a number of nice eating hotspot.
Boulangerie is the French word for bakery while Patisserie is the for fancy pastry. So it all means a bakery that sells fancy pastry.
There’s limited parking around the place so make sure to be there early.
The place has a very Chateau design, with air-conditioned on the inside of the 2 storey building, while al-fresco dining on the outside.
May picked some pastry from the pastry corner, while I ordered a breakfast set from their menu.
The menu is for breakfast which starts at 8AM to 1030AM and hot menu starts from 11AM right till 8PM. The price are quite reasonable, but I have also read that the portion is also smaller.
A Crunchy Custard bun, which is quite special in it’s own way. Then again, I love custard.
Durian bun which is pretty special, something like that Hong Kong Polo bun where the outer crust is crunchy.
While the inner filling is soft and creamy durian paste. Also notice Kayden’s naughty hand there.
Beef Bacon, Sausage and Egg Toast (RM9.50). A choice of scramble or sunny side up for eggs, a piece of bacon and sausage with a piece of toast. Nice and lite breakfast, but big eaters can definitely gobble up 2 of these easily.
A chocolate log cake (RM8) that we bought for to try. There another version with maple syrup as well.
May and Kayden at the Patisserie corner, with a big Stone Oven sign at the back. I guess there’s where the pastries are being made.
It’s a nice place to have sweet pastries for breakfast, tucked in the middle of KL city. Servings are small, so big eaters might find it not fulfilling enough with just 1 serving. There are a lot of other pastries to try as well, so maybe the next time, we will just drop by to by some buns.
Do note that Public Bank Credit Card customers get 10% discount on purchases here.
