Have you ever heard of this sentence before? I guess most of us had one time or another hear this from our friends, or even said it before.
Oh, I won’t get the iPhone 4 now, because I want to wait for the iPhone 5. Or “Oh, I will wait for PS4, because it’s coming out soon!’”.
I’m sure you have heard of that before right? I got my iPhone 3G about 2 years back, when there’s not a single telco in Malaysia is offering it. I have to get it from a dealer from Singapore and of course pay a higher price. A few months later, Maxis launched the iPhone 3GS, but still costs way more compare to our neighbors down South.
I didn’t regret getting it earlier, because it’s just madness. When the iPhone 4 is launched last September, there’s an event where you need to queue up just to get one and even that, you might went home empty handed. In the weeks that follows, I dropped by from telco centre to telco centre to ask the availability but was always told the same answer, “No stock!”
So after a lot of “No stock” on the face, I told myself that if I ever want to get one, I would rather get it from the same seller I got my iPhone 3G because at least he will said “Ada stock!”
Why I’m writing this? Haha, because the new iPad should be launching sometime this week, and I’m sure a lot of people will want to get 1 too but looking at past experience, Apple stores in KL probably won’t sell it off their shelves until end of the year (well iPad is only officially sold at Machines from end Nov 2010) so by that time, you will probably hear someone said, “Oh, I won’t buy this iPad2 yet, I will wait for iPad3 to come out.”
