We celebrated Yam’s birthday over lunch on Sunday after the initially early celebration that we planned didn’t work out. I posted up this lunch date and an old friend join in as well, although I’m expecting more to join. Some of the MIAs including Lai, Kellie, Jason and Lau from our normal gang.
The Pink Sage is located at Solaris Dutamas, a new development that’s nearby Solaris Mont Kiara and house quite a few interesting eating outlets as well. I’ve got to know Pink Sage from a colleague of mine as his brother is one of the partner here as well. It was previously located at Jalan Dang Wangi and have been featured at famous food blogger like Vkeong.com and KampungBoyCityGal.com and one of the highlight is their Stacked Breakfast.
I ordered a Chai Latte, and from my 1st sip, I can tell that it’s not my kind of drink because it contains clove.
Lin’s serving us a plate of Caesar Salad.
The Caesar Salad with Smoke Salmon (RM19.50) is alright, with lots of lettuce, chicken crisps, smoked salmon and eggs. For people who don’t like cheese, they might find that the cheesy smell will be a bit overwhelming.
Chicken Avocado Burger (RM18.50), comes with fries and served on a chopping board, provide a fresh uniqueness of chicken burger.
Lin’s Corned Beef Sandwich, turns out to be so so according to Lin.
Melon’s Cream Sauce Pasta with Mushroom, is thick and very filling. Despite Melon’s size and with the help of others, we still can’t finish this cheesy and creamy pasta.
The Spicy Crab Macaroni is very fresh with the crab meat and cooked along with chillies. If it’s not of my seafood allergy, I would have order 1 myself.
I ordered the Spicy Sesame Chicken Sandwich and Rocket, which is I think is moderate. The grilled chicken breast is tender and juicy but I felt that it lack the spiciness, but then again, I am one person who like my food to be really spicy.
Jasmin’s Banana Pancake (RM9.50) is very delicious. It’s soft and fluffy and goes very well with the bananas.
May’s ordered the one thing that is being featured in every food blogger’s post on this diner, and that is the Stack Breakfast (RM17.50). You get to choose the type of bread (White, Rye or French Village Bread), the type of sausages (beef or chicken) as well as how you want the egg to be done (sunnyside, over-easy, over-hard, scrambled, poached or soft boiled). May selected Rye along with poached eggs. Despite being called Stacked breakfast, it’s serve almost anytime of the day. However, I still find the one at Jarrod & Rawlins a bit better because of the porky goodness.
It’s a nice lunch anyway and I hope Yam enjoyed it.
