When you came into this world, I barely knew a thing about fatherhood. I’ve no experience in changing diapers, getting you to sleep, carrying you the proper way, bathing you, etc. And of course, there’s the sleepless nights for the first few weeks because of your night feeding…which took quite some time getting use to.
Of course then comes your full moon, when we’re ready to show you to the world! Your first hair cut and of course your first trip out of the house. By this time, you were already more alert and know your surrounding.
We were very impressed that you get to sit at the barber shop without moving so that you could get your head shaved.
By your 2nd month, you already started smiling although you won’t have a clue what you’re smiling about. And with the rate that you’re growing, we thought that it would be a wise idea to stock up MamyPoko/Huggies to a larger size so that we could have some savings.
Me and Oka-san of course took every opportunity during the weekend to bring you out to all the malls in the Klang Valley because it’s our favourite thing to do.
Of course, I also then realised that your old Combi stroller is a bit difficult to manoeuvre, hence we bought a new stroller at 30% off.
On your 3rd month, you started sucking whatever things that you can put on your mouth, especially your fingers and sometimes the whole fist.
Things also got a little bit more interesting because you can casually lie down on your tummy.
On your 4th month, your Oka-san accidentally ate a sumptuous lunch consist of lobster and you getting rashes and eczema from that. Of course a dose of wonder cream does wonders!
It’s also the month that we had celebrated Mother’s Day together.
Otto-san was surely glad that you’re such a cheeky boy and we got to celebrate Father’s Day together on your 5th month.
And also glad that you can almost sit up unassisted, although you’re constantly drooling.
Without realising, tomorrow it’s going to be your 6th month. Oka-san and Otto-san was just chatting the other day that we wished that you were still 2 months old, because at least you’re still manageable. Oka-san is already having trouble managing you in the car because you always squiggle around like a worm so we were just wondering how we going to manage that when you’re older.
We’re going to miss all the little things that you did for the past 6 months, but we will surely cherish all the time that has yet to come. We love you!
