If you are an ardent fan of coffee, you will surely know what Bad Ass Coffee is all about.

A lot of the ‘fehmes’ bloggers have some sort in their blogging career mentioned this place, so being a follower to some of this ‘fehmes’ bloggers, naturally I would also like to try it myself. The concept is simple, you order what you want and the food will be sent to you. Just like the normal Starbucks or Coffee Bean, you get to collect your drinks first.

The specialty from Bad Ass Coffee is of course its Kona Coffee. The coffee beans in cultivated on the slopes oh Hualalai and Mauna Loa in the North and South Kona District of Big Island of Hawaii and has a reputation that made it one of the most expensive and sought-after coffees in the world. May ordered a cup of Hot Kona, while myself an Iced Kona. One of the special things here as well is even the ice cubes are made from coffee. See for yourself.

It’s quite a clever trick that the owner of the place have formulated. Coffee ice cubes will ensure that the Kona coffee will not get diluted easily. The taste of the coffee is rather special and quite easy to drink, this coming from someone (that’s me) who would prefer my coffee with milk/coffee-mate. My coffee comes with a set meal at RM16.90, which is quite reasonable for premium coffee. If you order a-la carte (like what May did), a cup of Kona coffee is RM8.90.

Jasmin (not a coffee addict yet) order a milder type of drink like Hot Chocolate.

You can choose a variety of meal from their extensive sets. I chose the Hawaiian Burger which is pretty good. The chicken patty is flavourful and cook to perfection. I have not eaten much chicken patties before however, I must admit that the ones here was kickin’ ass good. Couple with a slice of pineapple with a dash of Hawaiian sauce, it does feel like you’re at Maui (although I have no idea if Hawaiians consider this as their staple diet).

May’s Chicken Pizza is pretty reasonable at RM24.90. Layers of chicken salami, onions and pineapples spread on top of a classic thin crust pizza. Fans of Dominoes Pizza might need to avoid this as it will leave you feeling hanging as it still lack a bit of umph.

Jasmin’s Kiddy Pizza is somehow rather small (resembling the size of those Pizza Bun you get from Kings). At RM8.90, I would feel that it’s a bit over priced due to its size and I bet you that Jasmin could finish 2 of it at one go. There’s nothing much in regards of topping aside from a layer of tomato puree and cheese. My suggestion would be to order the larger pizza and share it, rather than going for the Kiddy Meal.

My Bad Ass Meal is pretty good, because beside the Kona Coffee and Hawaiian Burger, it comes with a huge donut as well. The donut is double the size of your average donuts and is soft and chewy. Would be better if it’s coated with fine sugar rather than course sugar, nevertheless, it’s sill nice.

May finally gets to eat her pizza after cleaning Kayden’s ass (because he pooped halfway when we are eating there, haha).

TCM is quite a nice place to walk around compare to the other nearby larger malls as the crowd is pretty reasonable. The only thing missing is an anchor tenant, but they do have a Carrefour at the lower ground floor. So any of you ever head to TCM, do drop by to have a cup of Kick Bad Ass Coffee.

Yeah, the name is ‘catchy’. Too bad you don’t like coffee, because it’s pretty good. I read from KY that the Oxtail soup is pretty good too, maybe you can give that a try.
