This is Chicken in Soya Sauce. And yup, the chicken plays a significant part on Kayden’s 100th day.
Unknown to me until today, apparently my family got this tradition where when a baby reaches his/her 100th day, they get to taste chicken drumstick. Hence, the chicken comes into the picture.
The drumstick, especially for Kayden.
The feeding time starts!
Here’s him wondering how would the drumstick taste like.
I don’t think he like the experience because was pushing and turning while my mom try to feed him. Guess the drumstick doesn’t taste as good as milk.
Obviously when he is older, he will learn to cherish that ‘See Yao Gai Pei’ (Soya Sauce Drumstick) is the best.
I must say, so fast 100 days already. And then the second hundred will come, and before we knew it, he will be 1 year old. There’s a part of me that want time to stand still.

isn’t it a little too early to let him taste oily juicy drumstick?

I thought so too. But I guess it’s a tradition and something to uphold?
