Saturday afternoon and I can’t take a nap. So while I am still experimenting this awesome Photoscape, it’s a good time to post up last year’s Christmas Eve Dinner as well.
One thing I noticed is that whenever we had a gathering at my house, there isn’t much photos being taken on us. So I think one of the new year resolution is to take more photos on our gang’s gathering. Will be fun since Pat will be coming back soon with his family and Lau is going to have a baby soon. So that makes it 3 of the gang having a kid to
mess play around with. What do you guys think? The only thing is someone have to take the initiative with the pictures, because I am the one always ended up cooking, so I can’t have 2 pair of hands cooking and being the photographer at the same time. So maybe can delegate this task to Pat, or Lau.
Anyway, back to Christmas Eve. I have to work on Christmas Eve last year (I think the 1st time since don’t know when), so I’ve prepared some of the food the night before. Went to Village Grocer to get the ingredients, which the traffic proved to be a nightmare 2 days before Christmas. But Village Grocer still sells the most variety of things compare to other major hypermarkets.
Food for the night includes, Sandwich Cake (with Smoked Salmon and Egg), Roasted Chicken Drumsticks ala Remi style, Mashed Potatoes with Bacon and Cheese, Pasta Carbonara (which is not the photo) and Banana Tarte Tatin.
Since it’s a working day for me, we started the dinner about 8PM, plus and minus because you know lar, Malaysian timing. See me here cutting up the Sandwich cake as starters. This was before me donning my apron and prepare the Carbonara and other stuffs.
Everyone is waiting anxiously for the sandwich cake. While some of the them are joking around.
As I said, that’s all the photos I got for the night, so I couldn’t elaborate further what happened. And I didn’t even snap any photos of how JD Cooks the Pasta Carbonara, crap!
Anyway, please comment.
