JD Bakes ~ Mini Cupcakes

November 22, 2009

Ok, I would say my forte is definitely not baking. It must be because of loss level of patience as baking requires a lot of it. You can’t just make it and then straight away eat it. Probably the waiting time it’s the one that is killing me. I hate waiting.

Anyways, about 2 weeks back on a Sunday, we got a baking book as May was in the mood of cupcake. So I followed the book thoroughly and started making mini cupcakes.

A packet of Self Raising Flour is important. The rest of the stuffs include butter, caster sugar, icing sugar, egg and milk.

Adding the butter onto the Caster sugar and off to the mixer.

Right after all the ingredients were added, here are the end product. These babies are ready to hit the oven!

The first batch of mini cupcakes are produced! It’s a bit spongy though for a cupcake, looks more like muffin.

Next up, is conjuring some icing sugar with colouring!

And the end result of the mini cupcakes, is tadaa…

It’s a good experience and lots of hard work. No wonder those websites are charging a bomb for these little ones. Hmm, I think I would venture further so that I too can open for business. Taste wise, it’s quite ok. So I guess it’s worth a thought.

At least can trick Jasmin into buying it. Haha! Till then, have fun!
