Aiks, it’s been 4 days since my last post. This is no good. So hopefully there’s more to do blog this few days.
On Wednesday while I was walking around the Weld, there’s this Domino’s having a function in the lower ground area. There’s this fastest pizza making contest as well as fastest eating pizza contest. However, there’s not much people joining a crowd. I guess it’s just another gimmick so that everyone will eat at Domino’s.
So about the fastest pizza competition, it appears that Domino’s need 3 people working side by side in order to get the pizza delivered to us in 30 minutes. Can you believe it? The way they make the pizza is not that convincing and I am just wondering if it’s really the same way they make the pizza when we ordered in the restaurant.
Right after that, they have the pizza eating competition. Apparently the contestant have joined the contest online and some even took half day leave to be a part of the competition. Wow, these people really don’t need to work. And the best part is, the pizza eating contest is not even like very glamour. Just a small pizza and you are supposed to finish it up…and I thought you get to eat unlimited pizza like how they do it in New York with the Coney Dog eating contest. I guess it’s the economy huh?
Dinner time, me and May went to MidValley to meet up Alex and wife for makan-makan. He came back to prepare for his Christmas Day wedding end of this year. So I suggested to eat at Pasta Zanmai since he can eat anything.
So both he and wife ordered Spicy Unagi Pasta and Cold Salmon Pasta while me and May ordered the set that comes with variety. As you can see, mine is the Unagi Rice + Tempura Pasta Set and May’s set comes with Teriyaki Pasta + Hotate Pizza.
The food is unique in everyway, especially with the Hot Spring Tamago. But if you are not gamed for weird taste, then I strongly suggesting you to order the more conventional carbonara sauce.
This is the 3rd time we’ve been there but our first in trying their pizza. And surprisingly, the pasta is real good. Way better than Pizza Hut and Domino’s. So if you want something special, try their pizza.
Anyway, enough about food. I was too busy with the food until I didn’t even snap a picture of Alex and wife. Talk about me being a good friend. Sorry ah Alex, if you are reading this.
It’s amazing thinking back that we have known each other for 10 years already and the 3 of us (me, Alex and Siew Min) are all now in different places. I still remember we use to lepak a lot during our college days. No need to worry about work, money and a lot of other stuffs.
So we talk about starting a family to the economy in Australia. Well you know, what married couples talk about with other married couples. Hahaha. If you don’t know what we talk about, get married and you will understand.
He had to leave early as he needs to prepare for the wedding photoshoot on Thursday. I wondered how it will turn out to be…I guess I will have to wait till Christmas to find out.
